With 2,000 meters of elevation gain, this race, which culminates at the summit of Grand Colombier, will be a favorite among the majority of participants.

The 42-km Ultra Trail du Grand Colombier takes you through the picturesque villages of the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region, each offering its own unique charm and breathtaking scenery.
- Hauteville Plateau: The hike begins on this lush plateau at an elevation of 800 meters, surrounded by meadows and forests. The fresh air and exceptional views immediately immerse you in the atmosphere.
- Sutrieu : Pass through this village nestled in a quiet valley, surrounded by dense forests and cultivated fields. The small streams and waterfalls add a refreshing touch to the route.
- Champagne-en-Valromey : This hilly village, famous for its vineyards and historical heritage, offers winding trails through the hills and spectacular views of the surrounding countryside.
- Arvière-en-Valromey : Located at the foot of Grand Colombier, this village will enchant you with its lush forests and alpine meadows. The views of the Alps are breathtaking, despite the challenging elevation gains.
- Culoz-Béon: Located on the banks of the Rhône, this town lies at the junction of the plains and the mountains. Culoz-Béon is known for its breathtaking views of the Rhône and the surrounding mountains, particularly the Grand Colombier, which majestically dominates the landscape.

Reminder : Participation in any competition is subject to participants’ mandatory submission to the organizer of:
– A valid “Athlé Compétition, ” “Athlé Entreprise, ” or “Athlé Running” license issued by the FFA, or a “Pass’ J’aime courir” issued by the FFA and completed by a doctor, valid as of the date of the event. Please note: other licenses issued by the FFA (Health, Coaching, and Discovery) are not accepted
– Or a valid sports license as of the date of the event, which must clearly state, by any means, that there are no medical contraindications to participating in competitive sports, competitive track and field, or competitive running, and which must be issued by the following federations: Federation of Defense Clubs (FCD), French Federation of Adapted Sports (FFSA), French Handisport Federation (FFH), National Police Sports Federation (FSPN), ASPTT Sports Federation, French Sports and Cultural Federation (FSCF), Sports and Gymnastics Federation of Labor (FSGT), French Union of Secular Physical Education Organizations (UFOLEP)
– Or a PPS certificate (paper, electronic, or QR code) indicating that the individual has completed the Health Prevention Program (or “PPS”) established by the FFA via its dedicated platform, the terms of use for which will also be determined by the FFA. To be valid, the PPS must have been completed no more than three months prior to the date of the event for which the person wishes to register.
The Boost Center all-inclusive package is available as an optional add-on when you register online.
It includes:
- A shuttle bus will depart from Culoz on Friday at 5:30 p.m. to connect BOOST CENTER with PLATEAU D’HAUTEVILLE (start of the 45km race)
- Your runner's kit delivered right to your room (bib, runner's gift, T-shirt, etc.)!
- A night's stay in shared accommodation
- The sports dinner at 7:00 p.m.
- The early-bird breakfast at 6 a.m.
